IF SOMEONE NEEDS HELP WHAT DO THEY DO?

Application for assistance initially is normally made to the Secretary. Our assessment of needs of new beneficiaries is undertaken as swiftly and as unobtrusively as possible and is subject to absolute confidentiality. Following initial consideration by our board subsequent contact is conducted through our Almoner who is a very capable and friendly lady. After  approval of support the Almoner would be the beneficiary contact who would visit occasionally as the need arose to offer any additional help or advice. It should be stressed that we try to make the application process as speedy and as  friendly as possible.

WHAT LEVEL OF ASSISTANCE IS CURRENTLY OFFERED TO BENEFICIARIES?

Assistance is usually granted on a regular monthly basis, but can also be awarded on a ‘one off’ basis where an individual might simply need help for a specific reason.

Payments are always discretionary and can be varied or discontinued depending upon all the circumstances at any given time.

INDENTIFYING THOSE IN NEED OF ASSISTANCE

The Association mainly relies on its members for advices on those who might need assistance, but such advices are welcomed and indeed encouraged from any source whatsoever
